Beta service: Astro Hosting is a limited-capacity game-server hosting service operated by an individual sole proprietor in Massachusetts, United States. Features, capacity, and supported games may change during beta.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your access to Astro Hosting's website, customer panel, hosted game servers, backups, support channels, and related services (the “Services”). By purchasing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Cancellation and Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. The Services are currently offered only to customers located in the United States.
2. Orders and provisioning
Hosting requests are reviewed manually through Astro Hosting's Discord ticket system. A request is not accepted until capacity and compatibility are confirmed. Payment does not guarantee support for an unsupported game, mod, plugin, or configuration. If Astro Hosting accepts payment but cannot provision the purchased plan, the payment will be refunded in full.
You must provide accurate contact, account, and server information. You are responsible for securing your Discord, panel, email, and game administrator credentials.
3. Plans and resource limits
Your server is limited to the CPU, memory, storage, allocations, databases, and backup count shown for the purchased plan. Resource limits are maximum allowances, not dedicated physical hardware or guaranteed constant performance. Astro Hosting may stop or restrict a server that exceeds its limits, threatens platform stability, or negatively affects other customers.
4. Monthly subscriptions and renewal
Plans are recurring monthly subscriptions processed by Stripe. The price, billing frequency, and renewal terms are shown before checkout. Unless canceled, your subscription renews automatically each month using the payment method on file. You authorize Stripe to charge the recurring amount and any clearly disclosed applicable tax.
Instructions for cancellation and refunds are in the Cancellation and Refund Policy. Failure to pay may result in suspension and eventual deletion of the server and its data.
5. Availability, maintenance, and beta limitations
Astro Hosting aims to provide reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted availability, a specific uptime percentage, or error-free operation during beta. Maintenance, security work, upstream outages, network failures, hardware failures, attacks, or events outside reasonable control may interrupt service. When practical, planned maintenance will be announced through established support channels.
6. Backups and customer data
Backup limits describe the number of backup slots available, not a guarantee that every backup will succeed or remain recoverable. You remain responsible for maintaining independent copies of important worlds, configurations, and other data. Test restores may be performed to validate systems, but Astro Hosting is not a permanent archival service.
7. Customer content and software
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Astro Hosting the limited permission needed to host, copy, transmit, back up, and restore that content solely to operate the Services. You are responsible for having the rights and licenses required for game software, worlds, mods, plugins, maps, media, and other uploaded material.
8. Acceptable use and enforcement
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Astro Hosting may investigate abuse and may restrict, suspend, or terminate Services when reasonably necessary to protect customers, infrastructure, third parties, or the law. Severe or urgent abuse may be acted on without advance notice.
9. Support
Support is provided primarily through private Discord tickets and [email protected]. Response times are targets rather than guarantees. Support does not include custom development, recovery from customer-caused changes, or support for every third-party mod or plugin unless expressly agreed.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Astro Hosting disclaims implied warranties that may legally be disclaimed. Astro Hosting is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost gameplay, or lost data arising from use of the Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astro Hosting's total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
11. Changes and termination
Astro Hosting may update the Services or these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through email, Discord, or the customer panel. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Services and cancel future renewals at any time.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of protections or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.
