This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) protects Astro Hosting, its customers, infrastructure, providers, and the public. It applies to all hosted servers, files, backups, network traffic, panel activity, and support interactions.
1. Lawful, game-related use only
The Services may be used only for lawful game-server hosting and directly related administration. You may not use the Services for unrelated web hosting, cryptocurrency mining, public proxies or VPNs, file distribution, resale, or other workloads unless Astro Hosting gives written approval.
2. Prohibited activity
You may not use or attempt to use the Services to:
- break any applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
- launch or coordinate denial-of-service attacks, traffic flooding, port scanning, credential attacks, unauthorized access, botnets, malware, phishing, or exploitation;
- host malicious code, stolen credentials, pirated material, or content that infringes intellectual-property rights;
- threaten, stalk, exploit, or unlawfully harass another person, or distribute non-consensual intimate material;
- create or distribute sexual content involving minors or otherwise facilitate child exploitation;
- evade platform limits, security controls, suspensions, network blocks, or game/software licensing requirements;
- interfere with other customers or consume excessive CPU, memory, disk I/O, storage, or network capacity beyond the purchased plan;
- misrepresent your identity, impersonate Astro Hosting, or use the Services for fraud or deceptive conduct.
3. Games, mods, and plugins
You are responsible for ensuring that your game server, mods, plugins, scripts, maps, and configurations comply with their licenses and applicable rules. Astro Hosting may decline unsupported or unsafe software. Modified or third-party software may reduce stability, performance, backup reliability, and support availability.
4. Security responsibilities
Use strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where available. Do not share panel or administrator credentials. Promptly report suspected compromise and cooperate with reasonable containment steps. You may not test the security of Astro Hosting or another system without explicit written authorization.
5. Reports and investigations
Report abuse to [email protected]. Include the affected hostname or server, dates and times, relevant logs or screenshots, and a way to contact you. Astro Hosting may review logs and relevant account or server information as reasonably necessary to investigate a report, protect the Services, or comply with law.
6. Enforcement
Depending on severity, Astro Hosting may warn the customer, require remediation, restrict network access, stop a server, quarantine content, suspend an account, or terminate the Services. Immediate action may be taken for security threats, illegal content, attacks, or urgent harm. Fees already paid are generally not refundable when service is terminated for violating this AUP, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
7. Questions
Questions about permitted use may be sent to [email protected] before deploying the workload.
